Electromechanical motor lock “RIFF-12V” is to be used for emergency locking or unlocking of doors by means of different control systems and access control systems such as touch memory, proximity-cards and biometrics.
Lock capabilities allow:
- to install the lock in a door groove conforming to the lock DIN 18.250;
- to quickly close the lock remotely (by means of external operation) e.g. in case of an attack, or to open promptly in case of e.g. fire;
- to control the state of the door and the crossbar position;
- to open the lock with a key in case of an emergency (cable breakage, malfunction of electronics etc.)

APPLICATION
Electromechanical lock «RIFF-12V» is to be used for emergency locking or unlocking of doors by means of different control systems and access control systems. The features of the lock enable:
to install the lock in a door groove conforming to the lock DIN 18250;
to quickly close the lock remotely (by means of external operation) e.g. in case of an attack, or to open promptly in case of e.g. fire;
to control the state of the door and the crossbar position;
to open the lock with a key in case of an emergency (breakage of a cable, malfunction of electronics etc.).
Service life of the lock is 10 years.

DESCRIPTION OF LOCK OPERATION
The lock installed on a door, chassis or other device is controlled through the wires of external connection. See the scheme in picture 1 as an example of connection.
At brief pressing of the button 1 the lock will open instantly. If the door is not opened during 20 seconds the lock will close automatically. If you need to cancel the lock opening you should press the button 1 once more, then the lock will close instantly and will remain in closed state for an unlimited time even in case of breakage of a cable and/or power supply failure. ATTENTION! The eurocylinder ensures emergency opening of the lock.
At pressing of the button for more than 1, 5 seconds the lock will open, but if stop pressing - the lock will close (under the influence of the magnet upon the reed relay). ATTENTION! The lock is able to analyze its position in the door-frame. If the door is open or a magnet does not influence the built-in magnetic contact switch (picture 2), the crossbar will not leave the lock until the door is closed.
In case the door was not shut tightly and left the door-frame during 2 seconds, the crossbar would automatically return into the lock.
When you open the lock with a key and you take the key out of the keyhole and do not open the door, the lock will close automatically. You can fix the lock in opened state by means of a key having turned it clockwise against stop.
There is a controllable spring roller on an obverse slat for fixing of the lock in coaxiality with strike plate. Regulation of roller's outlet is realized by one revolution unscrewing of the screw (see picture 4). This regulation is to be realized when installing the lock in a door. It is recommended to put the roller inside the case of the lock if the door is closed by means of an automatic door closer.
INSTALLATION AND CONNECTION OF THE LOCK TO LINES OF EXTERNAL CONTROL
Choose a door groove suitable for the case of the lock according to picture 3.
Make a reach-through hole for the installation of the eurocylinder according to picture 3.
The aperture for the output of a cable should be made according to the local conditions and requirements on installation.
The required outlet of the spring-bias roller should be figured on the basis of the size of the gap between the door-frame and the end face of the door +3mm. For instance if the distance between the door-frame and the end face of the door is 4mm, the outlet of the roller should be 7 mm from the surface of an obverse slat of the lock.
Connect the leading-out wires according to picture 1.
ATTENTION! Red wire – «+10, 8…16V DC»; White wire – «common» ; Black/Green wire – opening control - «OPEN»; Yellow wire –signal – «DOOR». (the «DOOR» signal is provided by the «ground» signal in cases of the lock opening by means of the motor, by means of a key, at an incomplete crossbar outlet or at breaking of a door).
Install the lock into a door groove in such a way that not to break the cable.
Fasten the lock by means of two screw nails (see parts checklist).
Install a eurocylinder into the lock andfasten it by means of the screw M5x55 (see parts checklist).
Check the lock operation by means of a key and make sure that the crossbar runs without jamming.
Make a marking for the fastening of strike plate on the door-frame (the crossbar should be in the put forward position).
Choose a groove (the depth of it should be 3mm) for fastening of strike plate according to the above-mentioned marking.
Make an aperture for the magnet (12mm in diameter) and a groove for the crossbar (the depth of the groove should be 20mm).
Fasten the strike plate by means of three screw nails having drilled beforehand an aperture for the screw nail, 3, 5mm in diameter and 25mm in depth.
Shut the door and make sure that the crossbar runs properly.
WARRANTY
The lock is produced according to the specification ТC 20758006.002.03.
No-failure operation during 36 months from the date of sale or 42 months from the date of manufacture provided the consumer follows the instruction and mechanical damages of the lock are absent, is guaranteed. Guarantee number of the lock openings is 300000 openings (the number of openings is counted by the lock controller).
Questions arising as to serviceability of the lock are to be solved on the equipment of the manufacturer.
